Ski & snowboard swaps and expos can be a great way to kick off the ski season and gear up on a budget. In some cases, you can even sell your used clothing and gear to make some cash. While you will undoubtably find some good deals at the swaps, there will also be some pretty trashed up stuff as well, as stated in The Unofficial Guide to Ski Swaps.
Online options to sell/buy include eBay, Craigslist and SidelineSwap (although we don’t recommend buying skis, snowboards, boots or bindings online second-hand due to sizing and safety issues).
